Holiday season arriving in a couple of months and Microsoft has started early this year
It’s that time of the year again when some of the best video games are released. Yes! We are talking about the holiday season and soon by the Christmas time, you’ll have all the amazing titles in store; you can choose to gift them to your loved ones or have them all to yourself. Microsoft is ready to prepare you for holiday cheers as it has announced new Xbox One S bundles. The company's latest console is the original Xbox One with some cool new features such as HDR, 4K Blu-ray playback, and is slimmed down in size.
The Xbox One S bundle includes the upcoming Battlefield 1 from Dice Studios and Electronic Arts. The package also has a month long EA Access, which is a pretty awesome deal in itself. Users can enjoy 30-day free access to a growing collection of hit EA titles and even try new games before release. In addition to this, the membership offers discounts on digital copies of EA games.
As fascinating as the deal sounds, it comes with a catch. Battlefield 1 — releasing October 21 — will not be accompanied by its physical copy. According to the press release, it’ll be a download voucher that includes “Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Deluxe Edition, the Hellfighter Pack, Red Baron Pack, Lawrence of Arabia Pack, a new visual appearance of the Behemoths, five Battlepacks.” So, you get a pretty good deal even if you have to download the game instead of just popping in the disc. The Xbox One S console will be either in 500 GB ($299) and 1 TB ($349) so you can take your pick; it’s in pre-order stage currently.
Given the upcoming holiday season, the demand for these bundles is expected to rise in the near future, which will positively impact Microsoft stock; its shares currently trade at $56.41 apiece. As anticipation for more Xbox One games such as Gears of War 4 (releasing in October) goes in full swing, we could see an even greater impact. Next year’s Xbox One Project Scorpio console— touted to be the most powerful console ever—could also increase shareholder’s confidence due to the fact the company is ready to deliver an ultimate gaming beast.
It’s a good time to be a gamer and an investor in the gaming community, but we must advise you to keep an eye on stock prices until the bundles and Gears of War 4 are out. More gamers will be inclined to buy Gears of War 4 and an Xbox One S console at the same time; looks like a win-win for Microsoft here.
