What to expect from Apple's October event!

Apple is set to to launch upgraded MacBooks and a new 5K monitor in its yearly October event.

Apple's long rumored MacBook refresh might only be a couple of months away according to a new report. It is being speculated that Apple will unveil the newMacBook Pro with a touch OLED panel, known internally as the "Dynamic Function Row", by October this year. This will apparently be followed up by a refreshedMacBook Air with a USB Type-C port (and perhaps a new chipset inside) and a new 5K 'Retina Display', the report said.

It is believed that the new MacBook Pro will also come with a Touch ID sensor for easy unlocking and authentication of accounts. This is something that could change the game in many ways as fingerprint scanning isn't quite popular with notebooks, even though manufacturers have tried it before. Given Apple's experience with the Touch ID sensors, we expect this to be leagues ahead of anything we've seen yet. The touch OLED panel on the device will replace the row of functionality keys on the keyboard, thus cutting down on unnecessary clutter.

Moving on, the report also says that Apple is working on a new software upgrade for the iPad Pro which will introduce improved support for the Apple Pencil. This includes the ability to take notes/annotations on apps like Mail, Safari, Messages etc. It is said that this update will be sent out by the first half of 2017, so there's still some waiting to do to see them in action.
